What am I going to do after B.Tech?

In the 4th year with the approaching end of a semester, the urge of becoming a graduate is dominated by another difficult question “What am I going to do after B.Tech ?” where the career turning decisions must be taken by every individual towards their goals. In order to help our students from this situation in our campus, RGU-Basar Alumni Association had coordinated a talk on “Importance of Masters and opportunities post completion”.

Mr. Vidhya Sagar was the speaker of the talk. Being the alumnus of B.Tech(2009 batch), he first shared his experiences of being a student of ECE Department here and later he is pursuing his  M.Tech (Electrical Engineering) at IIT Bombay. He is specialised in Communications & Signal Processing. His area of work in Deep learning, Medical image analysis. He also explained about his key academic course projects.

 

He started his presentation sharing his experiences in the campus and he said that the curriculum that their batches followed really helped him a lot to get into IIT’s. He also suggested students to follow NPTEL courses. He focused mainly on the higher educations after BTech where he has also mentioned that even Government is encouraging students for higher educations by providing scholarships in a large scale. Firstly he explained about importance of Masters, opportunities of MTech in IIT Bombay. He also explained about the types of Masters and admission procedures. Then he explained about MS by research and MTech with internship. He also spoke regarding MS in Foreign Universities detailed the specialized courses and approximate fee structures and importantly admission procedures.

 

Mr. Dheeraj felicitated the speaker for making time for his juniors.

 

The event was then followed by the doubt session where the many students turned up and clarified their doubts. Finally, the session was a good success and a mark of respect towards our University by our Alumni.
